Terms you can actually read.
These terms cover how Thora and you work together. We've kept them plain and reasonable. This page is a clear summary for your convenience, not legal advice — if you need formal terms for your own records, reach us at [email protected]. By using Thora, you agree to what's below.
Accepting these terms
By creating a Thora account or using any Thora service, you agree to these terms. If you're using Thora on behalf of a business or organization, you confirm you have the authority to accept these terms for them.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for the activity that happens under it. Give us accurate information when you sign up, and keep it current. You can add your Team to your account — and you're never billed per seat for doing so. You're responsible for who you grant access to.
Acceptable use
Thora is for legitimate use. When using our services, you agree not to:
- Break the law or use Thora to help others break it.
- Host or distribute malicious software, or attack other systems.
- Infringe someone else's intellectual property or privacy.
- Send spam, run scams, or abuse our infrastructure.
- Try to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the platform.
If your use puts the platform or other customers at risk, we may suspend or limit the affected service. Where reasonable, we'll reach out first and work with you to fix it.
Billing
Thora pricing is usage-based and transparent. You pay a Plan fee for the managed experience plus the services you actually use, all drawn from one account balance. We aim to make Usage and costs readable, and we'll confirm meaningful figures with you. Fees are due as billed, and unpaid balances may lead to suspended services after we've given you notice. There's no long-term lock-in — you can scale up or down, or leave, and take your data with you.
Your content and data ownership
You own the Files, websites, and content you put on Thora. We store and protect them on your behalf and only use them to provide your services, as described in our privacy policy. You're responsible for having the rights to the content you upload. You can export or take your data with you at any time.
Service availability
We work hard to keep Thora reliable, running on resilient infrastructure with backups and managed updates. Still, no online service is available every second forever — there may be planned maintenance or rare disruptions. We'll do our best to minimize and communicate them. You can read more about our approach on our security page.
Liability
Thora is provided on a commercially reasonable basis. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the affected service in the period the issue arose. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Cancellation
You can cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or end accounts that violate these terms or put the platform at risk. If your account ends, you can export your data within a reasonable window first.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Thora evolves. If we make a meaningful change, we'll update this page and the date above, and let active customers know. Continuing to use Thora after a change means you accept the updated terms.
