Getting started

What does Thora actually do?
Thora delivers hyperscaler-grade cloud services — managed websites, cloud Storage, an AI Workspace, game servers, community tools, and Local IT support — as a single managed experience. You get the capability of a big cloud provider without learning one.
Do I need technical knowledge to use Thora?
No. Thora is built to be understood by non-technical people. We handle the setup, the jargon, and the operations; you see your websites, Files, AI, billing, and Support in plain language.
How do I get started?
Tell us what you're trying to run — a business website, a game server, a community, a roster of client sites — and we'll point you to the right mix of services and handle the setup. Reach us at [email protected] or through the contact page.
Can I move my existing site or files over?
Yes. Part of the managed experience is helping you move in. We'll bring your Website, Files, and accounts across so you don't have to wrestle with a migration yourself.

Products

What products does Thora offer?
Thora Cloud for managed websites and hosting, Thora Storage for usage-based Files, Null-1 GG for game servers and VOD storage, Community Tools for online groups, the Terminal UI for keyboard-first control, and Local IT for hands-on Columbus-area support.
Is everything on one account?
Yes. Every Thora service connects to one account and one balance, so you can move across products without juggling separate subscriptions or fragmented billing.
Can I mix and match services?
Absolutely. Start with the layer you need now — a Website, some Storage, an AI Workspace — and add game servers, community tools, or managed IT later on the same account, with no migration.

Billing & pricing

How does pricing work?
Pricing is usage-based and transparent. You pay a small Plan fee for the managed experience, then only for what you actually use. Everything draws from one balance you can read, and we confirm a clear figure before anything bills.
Will I get surprise bills?
No. There are no hidden tiers, no surprise overage traps, and no opaque dashboards. Your Usage and balance are visible from day one, in plain language.
Is there a contract or lock-in?
No. There are no large commitments and no lock-in. Scale up when you're ready, scale down if your needs change, and take your data with you anytime.

Team & seats

Do you charge per seat for my Team?
No. Team access is never billed per seat. Add everyone who helps run your account at no extra cost — you only pay for the services you use, never for the people who help you use them.
Can I control who sees what?
Yes. You decide who on your Team has access to which services and Files, in a simple interface — no cryptic permission settings to learn.

Security & data

Is my data backed up and secure?
Yes. Your Website, Files, and account data sit on durable, redundant infrastructure with regular backups. SSL, encryption, access control, and security updates are all handled for you as part of the service.
Who owns my data?
You do. Your Files and content belong to you. We store and protect them on your behalf, you can export them anytime, and we never sell your data. Read more on our security and privacy pages.

Support

What kind of support do I get?
Real, hands-on Support from a Thora person — not just a ticket queue. With Managed Services, you ask for a change and we make it for you, instead of leaving you to figure it out.
How fast will you respond?
We aim to reply to email and contact requests quickly during business hours, typically within one business day. Managed and Local IT customers get priority response and a dedicated point of contact.

Local IT

Do you offer in-person IT support?
Yes, for the Columbus, Ohio metro area. Local IT provides hands-on, on-site support and custom technology solutions for small businesses and individuals — a real person who shows up.
Can I use Thora if I'm not near Columbus?
Yes. Our cloud, Storage, AI Workspace, game servers, and community tools are available online anywhere. Only the on-site Local IT visits are specific to the Columbus metro area.
